26 terabits per second

Fuck me, that is fast!
Wonder how many years until this a home connection speed...cause

At those speeds, the entire Library of Congress collections could be sent down an optical fibre in 10 seconds.

Considering that just last year the FTC was trying to push 1.5mbps as the standard broadband connection, and that Google was the only sane party there trying to get it pushed to 1gbps to have any rational hope for our future, I doubt we'll see this within the next 100 years. 56kbps has been the standard for the past 2 decades.

Oh, and considering that the Obama Administration and Congress has deliberately been keeping this out of the news, do you really think that the ISPs and Entertainment Industries want you too have faster and more stable Internet that they have to monitor? No.

^Can't Google put up a badge on their homepage linking to the petition?

The first petition last October and November got mentioned once on ABC news for like a minute and referenced the Huffington Post article, that was the last it was ever discussed on a news source again - even the Huffington Post. Wonder why? ;)
