i also don't know what kind of piece of shit phone you guys have that it takes 8 hrs to fully charge lol my iphone 5 fully charges in about 20 min. and i never have to charge it during the day, once i take it off the charger in the morning it lasts the entire day until i get home and using the phone comfortably throughout the day, using the internet, streaming bluetooth etc. the battery has never died on me during the day.

Seconding this. My iphone and ipad take 20 min to charge.

Obviously I am talking about your battery. You said its your iphone, of which the battery is not easily changeable. Hence wrecking your phone. Do not kid yourself into thinking undercharging wont affect the longevity of your battery-life. By the end of your 2 to 3 years you will have cut your battery life almost by half.

Doesn't matter. I have Apple Care on my iphone, covers me for 2 years. Anything happens to it, I damage it, drop it, or manufacturer defects come up. I can walk into any Apple store and trade it for a brand new one for a fraction of the retail price.
