Did that before, will never do it again. Too risky.
1 site goes down, all your sites go down.![]()
i thought WPHive ran different installs for each wordpress site, unlike MU.
haven't tried Hive, but plan to in the next couple of weeks

Hm, correct me if I'm wrong but the last version I used did one big mySQL DB for all the WP sites. They're separated using a unique identifier to represent each site but they're all in the same DB, i.e "wp1_" "wp2_" with wp1 for site number 1, and wp2 for site 2.
I've had instances where the wp hive plugin was disabled in one site, and all my 100+ sites went down.
Also it'll be harder if you intend to flip just one of them later on.
I'll try it out soon and report back.
WP Hive sucks. Do one install but point them to different databases.
Or if you want to pull everything from one big database with multiple installs, change the config file so they all point to the same database.
yeah, that's what i'm going to do..... and it won't be a plugin, just a standalone admin site that will bulk manage remote WP sites.
getting really tired of individually managing WP sites
so yeah, it runs on one install. that sucks. i think i'm going to build my own software to manage multiple WP sites, that run independently.
people are asking for sample url's in the comments, seriously?
