400 adult clicks and only 1 conversion???

I am promoting a pretty mainstream adult dating offer and have gotten only 1 conversion after 400 views of the offer after they clicked my ad.

How is this possible? The country targeting is right and so are the links. I'm direct linking this. I am advertising on TrafficJunky

Anyone have this happen to them before?
 


Test, my son. Try different creatives, try different traffic sources, try different offers and keep the ones that work. Then test them some more.
 
the conversion rates for adult are crazy low.

i.e. it's not uncommon for a free porn site to have a conversion rate of 1:10,000...on the plus side there is a lot of traffic, so the volume is there
 
There are a million free porn "tube" sites on the internet...

Only the people dumb enough to not know how to use Google will spend
money on memberships...

There's a difference between adult offers and adult dating offers.
Adult dating offers tend to convert quite well, much much better than just adult (porn sites), on top of this, unlike with porn sites, tubes are not killing adult dating.

400:1 it's not great (very poor actually) for click traffic, however with just 3 odd conversions you can quadruple your ratio and that means that your volume is probably too small to analyse it.

Scale up first (invest some money) and keep testing everything, then having the volume analyse your ratios, otherwise it will be next to impossible for you to take off and scale profitably when you have nothing to work on.
 
People seem to think that just by getting a high CTR and plenty of clicks they will get leads, and that's bullshit.

You can upload 10 similar banners with slightly different ad-copy, and you will quickly find out how much of a difference it makes.

I had banners converting 15/1 and with a little change and they hardly converted at all, as in probably one fucking lead per 100 clicks.

Plenty of other factors that come to play as well.

- Which websites are you targeting? (A lot of TJ websites have shitty traffic, start with the premium ones)

- On adult I always recommend using a LP.

And mate... are you tracking? Buying traffic is going to be fucking useless if you are not collecting any data.

Which banners convert, rotating offers, which converts best... ETC ETC

Here is a tip: When people click a banner they expect what is advertised. Going crack hungry for CTR with a play icon for example and not presenting a video on the second page will bounce all your clicks.

AD-COPY with the text: Fuck a granny in your area tonight and the offer or your LP has nothing with grannies, you fucked up again.

You don't need to match it completely, but at least relate it with certain words, graphics...

thecaptn, you are obviously very new to adult. Even years ago, a 1:400 conversion was considered very good! Especially for mainstream offers. It's all about racking up lots and lots of traffic and niching down this traffic. Or start in a small, very verrrrry obscure niche (think interracial ladyboy spanking). Then you can expect better conversion rates than 1:1000 or 1:5000. You also need a great program, then it's all about rebills. But honestly, a lot of webmasters left adult years ago, but if you are passionate about it...why not.

OP is promoting "dating offers", not adult membership websites.

1:400 conversions are fucking horrible with DATING OFFERS.
 
Anyway adult is harder and harder to convert even for non-obvious countries, many advertisers do not accept it even for adult-nature offers stating it in description, etc.

It was way easier year-two ago, better payouts, more offers accepting it without ... hhmmm... you got it.

And LP (not stealed from others) is a good way to go today. CTR is not everything.

On-topic: OP I've heard that indian scat porn sites have crazy high conversions. So do sombrero fetish tubes. Maybe you just didn't find the right pron niche.
