Umm what "backlink checker tool" are you using? What will scrapebox show?

In my experience with such sites, you don't get "live" backlinks from all of them, a majority will display your link as plain text. Also, I assume it only works with top-level domains and no deep links nor subdomains, right?

Yes, I am using scrapebox to check live links. I check links as "example.com". I get 40k+ backlinks.

Just a main domain and no deep links or subdommains. You are right.

Just domain url. example: http://online.com

Statistic pages doesn't accept deep links And they don't accept keywords. They just generate some information by themselves.

I definitely wouldn't say this is 40k live links. Like BacklinksMonkey said, many of them are displayed as plain text, without the anchor tags, so they're more like references than links. The majority seem to be statistic pages or dynamically created "static" pages from searches and other queries.

The most redeeming feature of this service seems to be the "not found" pages that sometimes display google results, now for pages under my domain. Though I do wonder if G will/can pick any of them up. I don't expect this to have a massive effect on my rankings, but it's an interesting service nonetheless.
