I am NOT trying to start a political debate - just a discussion on the laws of economics v. the government of the people.
For instance, we (the US) have been at war nonstop since the end of WW II.
Again - stay with me - this is not a political debate if Bush is a liar or that Democrats are pussies - both parties are equally involved here.
War is immensely profitable, profits went up 25% in 2005 to a quarter of a trillion dollars. The US spends more on its defense budget than all of Chile's annual GDP.
General Motors' annual revenue is bigger than Denmark's GDP.
Exxon Mobil makes more money than Poland.
Mitsubishi makes more than Greece.
The point I'm trying to make is where the fuck are we heading?
Large corporations spend millions on lobbying and even more on campaign sponsorship.
Will we ever reach a point where corporations are in full control of the government?
This might seem a bit biased to some of you but it's short and well done:
YouTube - WHAT BARRY SAYS
By the way, just to clear something up - I would never waste time being a political activist or anything vaguely related to it, but if we can figure out where we are heading then it'll be easier to benefit from it.
