Fuck 7search up their stupid asses. They can go eat a dick with their skanky douchelips.

(I don't usually post on WF 'cause I'm too busy trying to make a living, but that just had to be said.)

At least this'll make me get off my lazy fucktarded ass and diversify the sources of my ppc traffic.

7search sucked from day 1 for me anyways. Their traffic volume was shite, and with 99% of their customers being arbi/MFA people - they're gonna go down in flames with this new TOS.

I'm also curious what will happen with existing pages ads. I haven't noticed anything yet, and they even approved a mass campaign/keyword submission I submitted only 2 days ago! (And it was very obvious it was for arbi!) :)

I'm going for Adwords anyway now, and will experiment some with Miva and Searchfeed.

7Search do the MATH!!
Say 2000 WF Member are doing arbi and are spending on average $20 a day 365 days a year ( i expect some are paying wayyyyy more and more than 2000 advertizers are doing arbi)
thats $40,000 a day - $14,600,000 a year

WOW thats a big hole in your bottom line

Google / Yahoo - these are double qualified clicks - ie someone who has click 2 ads on the same topic is more likely to convert - whats the problem ?

What are you talking about? They’ve already banned and closed accounts. Screw them. They aren’t getting anymore of my money. I’m STILL trying to resolve a $75 charge they made to my credit card (which ended up getting my card’s account closed) and my account wasn’t even validated yet!

I was going to spend about 20 hours last weekend coding a 7Search automation client. I'm glad I got sidetracked. I would have been severely P.O.d. Then again, i already have money in my account there so i'm still pissed off.

I can't understand what they could be thinking.....

:disgust:

Something happened last week at 7Search. Maybe they upgraded their system. Maybe they hit some kind of performance threshhold. All I know is they changed their captcha implementation and began being hardasses against arbitration. Those two changes have to be related. I still say the six of spades site (and any other 7search scrapers) had something to do with it (not throwing blame at anyone......from my last post it was clear i was in the process of developing the same type of tool).

Well I think this wasn't a spur of the moment thing and they have been working this out for at least a month over at 7search.

funny you should say that b/c I posted an exploit I found with their captha system and it was patched a few hours later. Pretty sure they hound these forums like hawks.

then again, that exploit was REALLLLLLY obvious and it was pretty funny that it existed in the first place.

Yeah, was that where you could leave the box empty and submit? By the time i saw your post it wasn't working anymore.

I have $25 in my account and a non-arbi site added to my account that I just used to get validated. I wonder if I should try to go ahead and start adding arbi sites or if I should ask for a refund or if I should just keep the $25 in there and try using the traffic for something else in the future.

It's hard to imagine that 7search will be real hardasses about enforcing this. They probably just don't want it to get to the point where 100% of their ads are for arbi sites.

i have a feeling it will take a while for old accounts to be affected too much- other than keyword deletions... but i could not open a new account yesterday - it would have been my 5th. Prior to that they had no problem opening new accounts in mins - wish I had known, I'd have made more accounts!

2 days ago I had a 10k limit.

Today

Your account currently contains 4,904 keywords. The maximum number of keywords for your account is 5,000 (advertiser guidelines).

I get the impression they want to cater more towards content sites and CPA/PPC guys.

Since the real trick to success in Arbi was volume, they seem to be focusing on stopping us from getting that volume. This may actually be a good thing as it forces us to get more creative and diversify our advertising.

Call and ask them for more. They told someone else they would handle keyword limits on an account by account basis, and if you can justify them they will have no problem.

How exactly would I 'justify' them?

E-mail from awhile back before there new guidelines.

Thank you for advertising with 7search! The 10,000 keywords-per- account limit exists for multiple reasons. It allows advertisers to easily manage their accounts. It allows us to more easily assist advertiser with their account questions and information. It also keeps advertisers from spamming our database by bidding on and and every keyword possible.

Please provide us with a legitmate explanation as to why your account should contain more than 10,000 keywords. This explanation will then be considered and you will be contacted with further details.

Denied.

Hahaha. I knew that they hadn't thought their wording through and would change it soon.

Check it out: 7Search Advertiser Guidelines - PPC Pay for Placement/Performance, Affiliate Programs

Today it's "..sites that contain low quality or scraped content, or sites which offer no other links/resources outside of contextual advertising, will not be allowed to promote their website."

Yesterday it was this: http://www.wickedfire.com/101522-post27.html

This reaffirms the suspicion that this was a decision that wasn't thought out too well on their part.
They got spooked because of all the arbi attention for some reason and started reacting erratically
by deleting some people's keywords and such
and then finally just slapped an ill thought out policy change onto their website.

It's silly because I don't see any way that being arbi-friendly can hurt them. Everyone's making money and they're getting new customers
every day that they wouldn't get otherwise.
