Apparently there is an actual bill in the House now, H.J. Res 15, to abolish the 22nd amendment which set term limits on the presidency.

How fitting. The last president with more than 2 terms was FDR... Who was obviously reincarnated as Obomba. :angryfire:

I wish I could say that the US no longer has any jurisdiction over me, but sadly they tax me wherever I go, and of course if I wanted to visit any family or friends there, well, let's just say it's best to keep up on current events.

Why are you supposed to pay tax if you don't stay there? And what are consequences if you don't pay the taxes, how will they even know?

Oh boy is that a big subject... Might want to start a whole new forum to answer that one.

In a nutshell:

A. Because Uncle Sam likes it's money. A lot.

B. Nothing much, just life in prison.

C. They have literally forced every bank in the civilized world to report the income of americans to them. It's so bad now that many countries won't even let americans open bank accounts there.
 
All you have to do is give up your citizenship and then you won't have to pay no more taxes. You can still visit if you want (and if you're halfway intelligent).
