First time posting here but I had an idea I wanted some feedback on.

I was working on a campaign and was thinking about the problems with email/zip submits. From the zip submits I've promoted, I have had the same problems as everyone else. Everything is going fine and then the advertiser starts shaving.

The advertiser is looking at which of the leads have converted, and they see the publishers who are sending non-converting traffic so they start shaving as a way of basically telling the publishers to fuck off.

How about a network implements a system where the advertiser offers a certain payout thats good for X number of submits. Then the advertiser can see what their conversion rate is and adjust the payout and the number of submits they're willing to buy from that publisher.

Seems like a good way of keeping zip submits going longer, while benefiting the guys who are sending the quality traffic.

full transparency on a lot of offers would be nice but it's much easier to just steal from the affiliates.

I hear a lot about shaving on these offers, and I think we're just luck it hasn't happened to us yet. Most of the time (if it happens) we get asked to pull the offer, but we've never seen declining CVR that would indicate scraping..

I agree about transparency though.

search quality is usually garbage the only way search traffic or poll traffic will probably work for the advertiser is if they paid 25 cents to the network which would end up being 20 cents to the pub.

email/zip submits want good email traffic, that's basically it.
