A study in campaign failure: Wu fucking yi

The only way to sustain a CTR like that is to bid the top 3 and that'll cost about 2.50-3 for US traffic.

If you can't play with the big dogs step down from Google, to MSN and Yahoo and get your dick wet. You should find more reasonable bids, but less traffic.

I think there are two Wu-Yi offers. One high paying and one low paying. The difference? I don't know but if I were to take a guess I'd say shaving percentage. I think one has a higher rebill as well.

if you've not got a load of cash to burn get your campaign in order on msn or yahoo then move in hard on google when everything is converting nicely. doing the quick maths you should be able to cut your bids in half with a few days history so if you're not getting above half your initial bid on G forget it and work harder on your campaign to bring it up.

personally i'd drop wuyi, thats been heavily "adjusted" for returns already

cash is not the problem.

And today, bids are down about 1/3, and ctr is 4X better..

I dont mind spending cash. I just mind not learning from the expenditure. If Im getting info I can use, tweak etc, then shit yeah, no problem.
Thats what were doin now. And I dont mind playin with the b-dogs..diet isnt for the faint of heart (as well as loans, credit, ringtones, dating etc).
I just look at it as an expensive lesson in AM 101...
Id rather learn on G quite honestly..msn is quirky and I want the volume to test with.

I'm still banking on this with conversion rate of about 2%, direct linking on the crappiest traffic source around... but the clicks are like 20c

But. I've tried this with 3 networks this month. Was on 2% with the first. Switched the exact same campaign to another network I recently joined - got over 700 clicks and not a single conversion (learn a lesson there, was careless in leaving that running like that). Then I switched the campaign to a third network (better payout) - conversion went right back to 2%.

Network number two was a total fucking fail. No idea if its the network, or the merchant is scrubbing that particular network or wtf..
