About "the" website..

Well, maybe this will sound as stupid question , or maybe it's a stupid i don't know, but i wanted to ask , why when i am signing up ,why the network is asking for my website , and if I don't have a blog or something like that , and I want to design a specific land page for the program i will use , what am I suppose to put in the field ? By that i mean , that i have a plain , blank website , and its worthless for the review by the network.
