And from reading and others advice it isn't the sessions. So, for an affiliate, where is the value?

Meeting and networking with other affiliates? And is this at parties etc?

Do affiliate networks normally hold parties at AdTech's like they do Affiliate Sunmmits?

The value is in meeting a lot of the networks, your fellow AMs and getting good direct deals. Set up quick meetings with your aff mgrs too so you can get some face time.

Yes, there are several parties that are sponsored by networks as well. Here is the official list, and there are always more that aren't listed here.

Take it from someone that's been to 11 AdTechs; the fact is = it's EXACTLY as valuable as the effort you put into it. Period, that's the case.

umm.. it also depends on which city the adtech is in... each city tends to lean towards a diff. area of marketing/advertising.

I will say though that they are trying something new this year:
ADSPACE 2009
It's an area of the conference that will be devoted to contextual advertising - with marketing VPs from ebay, facebook, google and the MS adcenter programs as speakers.... as most have said before the majority of sessions wouldn't be worth your time if you've been actually working online for the past year or two (or 5-10+)... but the Q/A sessions from this adspace segment should be lively to say the least (and yes, this is me trying to bait you to attend... i promise there will be AM questions asked if not by folks on here I can assure you there will be from some other press/staff folks)...
