Okay, so, I have a static site using the Shopping theme from minimal themes. I'd like to add a blog, and I'd rather have it in a subdirectory than a subdomain, and I'd like the posts to be like mysite.com/blog/blog-post
The problem is, the way the theme is set up I guess, the Reading settings have to be set to Front page displays "your latest posts", and then you control it from the theme options. If I switch to the static page options, it basically breaks everything. Unfortunately the theme options don't have any options for what I want to do. This theme didn't even come with a single.php file, because it doesn't have any built in "blog" functionality I guess. I've added my own.
I tried creating a page at /blog and then just displaying posts there, but I don't know how to make those posts children of /blog. As far as I know, only pages can be children of pages.
Perhaps this is something I should email the theme makers about, but in my experience, someone in the WF community has probably had my problem before and might have a solution. I'm all ears!
