Adiakritos Journal

that's dope, congratulations!

you spelled you're wrong on your orgasm blog btw

haha thats fine. I'm not actively promoting that product anyway. I was just tinkering with it. I'm gonna use my blog to promote a parenting product.

I'm currently looking at a fantastic blog post I read that lead me to a landing page... it's so smooth!

So what I'm doing is jotting down the structure of the article so I can reuse it myself to create new posts with new content in an effective way.

Lets see if it works out =D

has anyone read this book? I'm contemplating getting it. I may check out that Ca$hvertising book I was recommended. Only the "How to Write a Good Advertisement" isn't in ebook format so I may have to fork over the 12 bucks if you guys think its worth it.

atm I'm trying to see how I can set goals in google analytics.

My goal is 300 impressions per day. But there parameters are strange.

ok finished outlining the structure to that article. Time to write an article. I'll do it tomorrow though cause I'm tired of making that outline.

I thought that getting number 1 in google would drive more traffic than it has. Its been a slight increase in organic traffic. Fack.

So optimizing hasn't been difficult but it I'm guessing my keyword isn't that great either.

Instead of trying to optimize for more keywords I need to find some other ways to drive traffic to my site.

I opened a twitter account and I'm attempting to stick a 'follow me' type of thing to try and build a following over time whom I can keep in contact with. Only this market isn't exactly who I'm gonna stick with in the long run I may still be able to draw on traffic from the following it retains.

Are you sure you're actually ranking #1? Are you checking with a browse with no cache and not logged into any Google accounts?

ah shit.. I'm #8 lol! not much of a difference from before. Its no wonder.
I'm glad you had me do this check.

I cleared my catch and the site went down to #8. checked back again just now and it says #2.. used this scroogle thing and it says 19.. lol w-t-f

Sounds like you've got some issues, but it's clear you're not #1.

That means MOAR BACKLINKZ

Log out of google and add &pws=0 to the end of the search URL

Example:

hxxp://www.google.com/#q=blue+widgets&hl=en&fp=1

hxxp://www.google.com/#q=blue+widgets&hl=en&fp=1&pws=0

yep! back to buildingggggg dem linkz

Does buying links work?

I'm figuring out a lot of SEO as I go and what I've learned is that, like anything, it depends a lot more on your skill / plan than on the service itself. I've been writing my own content, learning how to spin it, and learning how to link secondary content together to point at the main site and boost its rankings.

Randomly buying shit in BST is probably a good way to throw money out the window, my strategy has been to try some of this stuff on my own and then outsource the stuff that's worked.

where has my dearest dchuk done?! ='(

spinning content on your blog? How would that work? lol I thought spinning was for publishing articles.

I think I see what you mean by linking secondary content to your main site. I may have to look into it though cause I'm not sure of the how and why.

So buying links would work if you knew how to deal with buying links. I paid that dude 5 bucks to send me 1000 visits but thats rather pointless because I have no idea where this traffic is coming from. its probably very untargeted.

Sure, buying links can save you from hours of repetitive, boring link building. I've had very good, serp changing results with social bookmarks from red virus and linkwheel/pyramid/whater from sarkar kumar.
Just don't go trigger happy buying thousands of xrumer links to your money site :D

My site went from 19 to 32! wtf?
I'm guessing google caught on to my traffic n it hurt me. I don't know how that works though. Would your traffic source hurt you or would the way you build your links hurt you..?

don't check your rankings more than once a day or else you'll just be constantly panicking. Most good SEOs here don't even check their rankings they just check their conversions/stats.

1 day is never enough time to postulate what might have happened. You need to look at your rankings month over month rather than daily to really judge how well your campaigns are doing.

As for outsourcing: I strongly believe you should never outsource anything you haven't/can't do yourself. You should outsource to increase your bandwidth and because you can afford to. When you aren't making money but you aren't spending money, you have enough time to afford to build your own links.

Lastly, don't buy traffic, it's probably shitty bot net traffic and you could risk losing your affiliate accounts or adsense account if you get click bombed or something. Just don't do it.

Biggest thing is build build build. Add content, build links, just keep putting in effort.

there you are! I missed you.

okokok I'm on to building again.

At what point do I change up the game plan? Or is it pretty much the same all the way to the top? (wherever that is.... how to know, I'm not sure of that either)
