Adsense Ads on the WickedFire Forum ~ Are You Fucking Kidding Me?

I jumped the gun. My bad.
Jon says in his blog, "Now, I’m not saying AdSense is bad, from a publisher/affiliate point of view, because they aren’t"
So he really isn't going against his words by putting up the adsense blocks.
I do have 1 suggestion. There are a ton of ebook ads showing up and seeing as how this is WickedFire the Google ad filter could be put to good use here.
Again, it's my mistake for jumping on the outrage bandwagon without thinking.

I don't see the big deal in further monetization. It's not as if the entire forum is a billboard or anything. But I did have to laugh at this ad that showed up:

Monetizing a forum isn't an easy job. Consumption far outpaces revenue most of the time. I still get value from WF, and it doesn't cost me anything. I'm good with being here on any advertisers dime, I don't care who the advertiser is.
Some of these ads are so fucking funny and random... look at this one! It's like Google knew I was looking at the page!!

Since Google is the only one I can use at the moment, then yes, I'll use them. Do I plan on helping their competitors later in the year dominate the UK/EU market in terms of traffic and earnings? Hell yeah! But you have to learn very quickly in any business that there are always loopholes that need to be taken into consideration for the sake of earning a profit, or at least breaking even.
We're just testing it out for a week right now and going to see how it does. If it turns out to be easier to use than our current platform, and makes the same or even almost the same, if not higher (which I doubt), we'll stay with it because I'd much rather devote our focus to expanding than having to babysit advertisers and approving or denying people like crazy because they have a bad rep. If you don't like it, block out the ads, you're a fuckin webmaster/affiliate, just turn off js, it's not like you need to call tech support in to help you solve it.

They're not going to give you a hard time because of nsfw content? I have a forum Im working with to monetize, and we strayed away from google for fear tasteful topless pics in occasional threads, of the f word would scare them off.

Yeah I know of another forum, CockyTalk - Discuss the South Carolina Gamecocks (South Carolina Gamecock Football, FTW) that had to pull a section that they had that included nude girls on it because Google threatened to pull their ads. It wasn't hardcore or anything, either. Just normal T&A like what you see here.

Not sure what's going on but I'm getting Adsense after the 1st post but still the usual banners up top. I'm guessing Shawn didn't get many sales for ASUK as that's been replaced with some very very poor Market Leverage iPod joke thing.
I am so clueless and banner blind I didnt even notice them.
