Anyone got any tips for increasing our CTR on L33t Videos ? At the minute we're getting around 7000 adsense impressions and 0.15% CTR.

I realise this is slightly flame worthy......

have you tried a big (300 or 336) rectangle instead of a 468 ad at the top?
I am doing pretty well as far as it regards CTR with a setup similar to your one, but with rectangles only

after you've tried that you might also try to put badly blending colors such as green, violet
yes it's ugly but who cares...and it's just a test

Like Icecube said I would test making your ads stand our more by using different font colors and/or background color.

Another thing I would do is put 2 big rectangle ads next to each other at the top. You will have to make your site design a bit wider for this but that should be no problem. According to my stats less than 10% still use 800*600 so I'd design for 1024*768.

I have a similar 2 rectangles at the top setup on my rss newsreader site and it gets around 1.6% CTR. (Like your site the content is not very specific so it is comparable I think) On my site the background is white and i use a light yellow background for the ads.

I doubt it's 7000 impressions for that site alone, considering the fact that it only has a few videos and was made 2 days ago...

I'll assume you're just using it as an example...are all the other blogs identical to it ? Because 0.15% sounds way too low...

Nope, the 7000 impressions are just from that site. lol
But thinking about it alot of that was Stumble traffic.

I've just noticed that i got the CTR wrong, it wasn't 0.15% at all.....

Hi BamBam, I have a small suggestion.
Remove the Home & the About page links that you have now on right sitdebar & change the title color of the right sidebar Google ad to blue, this will definately make your CTR better.

There's your problem. Stumbleupon traffic. I've made more money off 500 normal unique visitors than 10K Stumble users.
