In the last week or so Ive noticed my Adsense earnings dropping, same amount of traffic, if not more. In the last two days I have less than half as much as I have earned through Adsense than my lowest day in the last 6 to 8 months.. I sthis a result of arbitragers pulling AS ads off their sites? Is this a result of people pulling campaigns from the content and search networks? Im not sure it just seems odd that my earnings have dropped like this in the last few days to week after all the emails were sent out and all the hype started. I should clarify once again not just my earning have dropped SIGNIFICANTLY, but also CTR, with the same ammount of traffic...

Who the fuck knows, and I cant say that I really care if I continue to get fucked Ill turn to YPN for PPC ads 100%, well 80%, doesnt really matter, just thought it was ironic and was also wondering if this is something that many of us will be facing, or is it just some fluke thing?

I know what you mean, which is why I'm trying to get off the adsense habit for monetization. in the last month I have had about a 60% decrease in earnings.

I stopped trying to figure out adsense a long time ago.

Been happening to me for a few months now.

Used to get 10c-13c per click, now I am getting 6c per click. For me, thats the difference between $50 a day and $20 a day.

Same thing has happened to me, I've one page that has dropped from $200 per day down to $10 - $30 depending on traffic. But it only appears to be happening to one of my domains.

I'm still getting $1-$2+ a click but then again mine are not your typical arbi page.

I have no arbi sites anymore, I gave up on that a while back, adsense arbitrage anyway.

Im talking about a drop on ads placed across a network of content sites. I am looking into it now and it seems that AS is looking more like YPN as far as variety goes, the same ads over and over again, one thing thats missing is variety and arbi / MFA sites being shown. Like I siad before I think this is a direct result of Googles crack down, people are pulling their MFA sites, which were a large percentage of the ads being shown across the content network.

Who knows I may be wrong, but like I said before things just dont seem right, my EPC is still about the same though my CTR is shit with the same amount of traffic, causing a large drop in revenue.

noticed it beginning of the month but pretty average the last week and a half. adsense has always been a bit of an up and down for my sites so i never made much of it.

Yep, I'll vouch, my earnings have dropped by around a half and I've sent the same amount of traffic, etc.

Maybe it's because we can see where the traffic is coming from in adwords and track it to see what is converting and if not, block that site.

Maybe your getting blocked by all the sites that payout more per click

How do you do that though, I still haven't been able to find this option in my Adwords account.

You have to add conversion tracking codes, I think through analytics..

Part of this might be seasonality. My Adsense earnings are usually see strong growth between October-February, start to taper off and then drop over the summer.

On the other hand, Google wants to increase their next quarters earnings growth, what do they do? Just move that rev share slider a little over in their favor.

same deal here. this past weekend i had my lowest earnings in almost a year, im screwed if it goes down lower than that.

My numbers suck, but they still remain at least 2:1.
Same amount of traffic, just conversion rate (click thru on AdSense) dropped from about 45-50% to 31-35%.

You just hit the nail on the head. Nobody in the media/ investor community talks about this.... Google has to live up to the earnings forecasts of financial analysts or else its stock price will tank. And as long as it can determine what % of Adsense click money it keeps, it will continue to 'grow' at a pace that wall street finds acceptable.
