adsense or similar on tumblr

So tumblr allows javascript, so could be a nice free hosted blog platform with adsense, google is failing me, anyone done this before, or know if google allows it?

And, if you're just starting out, free/hosted blogs are easy and quick, but you should really look into getting a few domains and some cheap hosting. That way you aren't at risk of whoever is hosting your blog kicking you to the curb for any reason they might want to, plus if any of your blogs take off, you own the whole setup and can grow it/sell it/do whatever the hell you want with it.
 
The only results i found were people talking about adsense on tumblr from several years ago, nothing about blackhat/ thousands of blogs on tumblr. Hardly useful, right?

What are you looking to do, automate a system to setup a bunch of tumblr blogs that all have adsense on them?

If that's the case, I wouldn't risk all that work on a 3rd party host. Plus, you can build a much more solid domain out on your own hosting and then use tumblr/wordpress.com/blah blah blah for all of your backlinking. If they die, they die.

Check out Eli's SEO Empire article. Good example of using your own props to build out a solid network that pays for itself over time and can't be taken away from you....
