Advice on finding an accountant or tax preparer

Hey Guys,

My first year in affiliate marketing and am looking for an accountant or a tax preparer to file my taxes (individual and affiliate business taxes). Spent the month of March looking for one but can't find one that understands tax deductions for an online business. I have one mildly successful website running an offer.

Have been using TurboTax till now for my individual taxes but not sure I can manage this year because I'm not well-versed in the nuances of online business taxes (not sure what I can claim as a tax deduction and what I can't).

I live in Mountain view, CA, so if any of you guys are from around here and can recommend someone that would be great.

If not then any advice on where to look.

Reading this i thought you lived in some hick town. How have you not found someone with this skill set in Mountain View?

Hey dude,

Come to the Meetup in San Francisco. There are a bunch of successful affiliates and a couple super affiliates; you should be able to get a few contacts.

I have infact picked up the phone and haven't had any luck that's why I'm asking here.

Most of them have experience with physical small businesses but don't really know what a hosting site.

I don't expect them to be fluent in coding or anything like that but do want to find someone with the experience of filing taxes for online businesses.
