Adwords Content - Changed Rules?

I got this email when trying to find out why sites giving me 20-100k impressions in one day started giving me 200-500 HUNDRED impressions in one day. Overall my impressions cut by like 90%

After a couple of days and such here is part of an email i recieved. Anyone els ehaving trouble with this and know what to do to not be listed in this category?


It was a pleasure chatting with you yesterday about the lack of
impressions you've been seeing for your 'Example Campain :)' Campaign. Due to
multiple complaints from our users and publishers, we've limited the
appearance of certain categories of ads on our content network, which may
have affected your number of impressions. This includes (but is not
limited to) low-quality affiliate advertisements and other business models
that we have received multiple complaints about.


I am using a flog obv.


Discuss.
 


Whats the strat to beat it? Nothing? Make new accounts? Get it approved with a redirect? Then Switch it?
 
My technique has been to go else where than the google content network. But that's because I started in this business just a few months ago so never had time to figure out the good placements on google when they were allowing it. Since you already know trying to make a new account and cloak with a redirect to get it approved might be worth a try. I'm sure it won't last forever though but might make you some cash.
 
i definitely know of people still running thousands of clicks a day on a flog on google. my relationship with them is just not good enough for them to tell me how they do it, actually. they act like nothing even happens lol and they dno why mine gets owned.
 
there are plenty of other traffic sources, look around. im not just talking msn and yahoo. you won't have to deal with any bs at most of them. google hates flogs and most rebills and will slap or ban eventually.

I thought a flog = an account ban on Adwords? Now they let you run but with an "impressions penalty" ?

They've never banned anyone for running a blog. Previously, they would slap your domain. Now you get some traffic, in my case it went from $20,000 - $25,000 to $1,500.
 
Yes, like gopher said - they won't ban your account because of this. But they will eventually bitch-slap the campaign good and hard.

@naorgil; The guys running flogs at the moment have just slipped under the radar so far. They better enjoy that traffic while it lasts.
 
hmm.. they caught mine like within 36 hours of first starting it...
and i know someone who made a google money one at a similar itme, and hes still running with thousands of clicks a day.
