Man, I've been searching for an hour in AdWords, can't seem to find it.

What is the code which you place in a Ad (In Adwords) which shows teh "City" or "State"?

I don't do AdWords much at all, I remember seeing it a year ago, but can't find the sucker.

Thanks for any help. Cheers

I think you have to manually choose each state at the geo selection.

I assume you mean so your ad text shows up with the state or city under the ad?

Nope, I know how to use their geo-targeting to show to only certain areas and the local address stuff.

I mean showing the city name right in the advertisement. I'm sure they have this.

Example: say you're selling shoe's in the state of Washington. I seem to remember you can geo-target the state of Washington. Then in your ad do something like this:

Shoes in {city name}

And it will replace {city name} with the city (ie: Seattle) that the person's IP address resides in.

They have this feature don't they?
