Wondering what you veterans think of this situation. I have sites that are big in travel. An affiliate manager of one these travel adverts suddenly terminated our relationship due to the fact that we were marketing their competitor on a entirely different network. He said that because under PPC search of their companies generic name our ad comes up and even though its a different network and different advertiser, we had no right.

I don't really care, since they were on our low end of volume and never made any money with them. Just wondering what you guys think of this situation. I never had a AM impose restrictions on my out of network ads or relations wondering if this is common.

I'm actually not sure what your talking about, unfortunately in this business the advertiser can pull your shit when the hell they want, the manager is usually just the middle man, move on, find a new offer, or bitch.

Since their decision isn't hurting your bottom line, I wouldn't give it a second thought. I've never known of a situation like this to take place, but in the IM world anything is possible.

I'd be more concerned with how he linked the two separate networks together. Shouldn't they ideally be set up in a way where a competitor/AM/whoever can't easily tell that they're run by the same person?

Such a moron, drop him and move on.

Thought that as well, could anybody clarify this?
