how is that funny? i would also like to know how affilicon was. obviously he has no idea what it was all about.....i heard that the quality of talent in Israel was unreal.
 
Israel was pretty rad. Was only there for 6 days, but almost every night in Tel Aviv we stayed out till 6 or 7 in the morning. There's way too much to do at all hours.

Affilicon was a pretty well organized and relaxed event. A lot of the sessions were in Hebrew, so I didn't really get a chance to get much out of that side of things. The English sessions I wanted to attend were missed for reasons above.

As for the "talent", Israel has some of the best. There is such a high concentration of "high tech" jobs there that it's been compared to Silicon Valley.

I'll go again in June.

Israel was a dickroll-free zone. I'm sure a few of you could help the cause though.
 
I don't block dickrolling even on my own comp because every now and then I need to appreciate it.

Seriously man, you need to get some travel done. Real travel, not holidays.
Countries outside of the US happen to invent a LOT of shit, and happen to be a lot more technological than you're giving them credit for.
Not only are Israelis #2 for venture capital for tech companies, they're right up there in inventing computer, robotics technologies, and biomed techs.
Check out some of the stuff coming out of the Technion institute in Haifa sometime. Pretty interesting stuff.
 
they also invented the cell phone (motorolla - israel), and microsoft has their biggest r&d department there....
 
Ya I actually really wanted to go but it got in the way with a startup I'm involved with, launching. Glad people had a good time and learned a thing or two.
