Been asking around about all dashed domains... Mixed response...

B-E-A-C-H.com going for 350 Euro at SEDO
V-O-D-K-A.com going for $60 on auction at NamePros
G-R-E-E-C-E.com going for $50 on auction at NamePros

G-R-E-E-K.com appraised for xxx to x,xxx

Got some people saying it's "4 dashes too long." What are all your thoughts?

I think it would be a real pain in the ass to any visitors. Plus, if the SE see these as single words for each letter, wouldn't be very helpful.

Thanks everyone. You all have confirmed my suspicions. I just don't get how those domains are selling even above $25? It baffles me.

Because idiots who know nothing about domains will think it's awesome and buy it. The thing is you don't want to be the idiot on the buying end.

Some domainers buy them because google doesn't recognize hyphen when you search.. try it type in "b-e-a-c-h" to google it brings up direct results for "beach".

I actually have profited about $30 from these types of domains barely making it worth the time and effort to transfer it, transfer out, etc.. I bought a couple on other forums for $2-$5 each. One resold for $25, others for $7-$10. I personally believe that except for really good ones that these are shwag..
