ALL sites have stoped gaining ANY backlinks - WTF?

I am looking at a block of 8 sites that I have been gardening and treating kindly, etc. They all have hit the 1st page (all under 5 months old).

Suddenly, I cannot get a single backlink to stick, nothing.
On ANY of the 8 sites.

No trackback, no manual, no article dir.. nadda, zip, nine, nicht.

WTF is going on ?
