Huzzah! Now, when I do move out there, I don't have to cry myself to sleep every night because of missed affiliate earnings! Not that I really get that much anyway.
 
Interesting. From what i've been told the deal is only supposed to last for a year. Then again, I dont see why they'd go through all of the trouble just to have the affiliate program going for one year. Any Cali residents in here with some details?
 
no emails from them about it. thought it was still pending....but crossing my fingers.
 
Governor Brown hasn't signed the bill yet so its not a done deal. Also I don't think he give any indication whether he was for or against it either.

Although most are saying it would pass since waiting a year before collecting taxes from online retailers is better than going through referendum and initiative battles with Amazon.
 
Idiots at Amazon are f'ing thick. They asked for proof of my new address outside of California (I used to live in California). Their list of approved docs is U.S. centric, none of them really exist for a foreigner living in Thailand. I sent them the closest thing I have, a copy of my Thai driver license, which is of course in Thai language although my name is written in English. They said it doesn't meet their requirements so my account was closed. Are they really that f'ing stupid that they can't handle affiliates living in another country?
