In addition to numerous burglaries, Colton has allegedly stolen four airplanes by hot-wiring and then crash-landing them. It is believed that his knowledge of flying such light aircraft has been learned by means of reading flight manuals, handbooks, and computer program flight simulators. He once went to a house to have a shower and stole ice cream from the freezer, and has also used a computer and stolen credit card in a house to purchase a pair of night vision goggles, among other things, on the Internet.
