In recent downtime picked my Borderlands GOTY Edition back up. Happened on the Youtube while getting data for a site and saw that Borderlands 2 recently dropped a trailer and is due in Sept. If you like the song it is Doomsday by Nero. Borderlands is a silly and fun FPS that is an entertaining time sink. Trailer looks wicked. Might be picking this up later this year.

I'm looking forward to it quite a bit, the first one was pretty fun, for all the hype it's getting right now I would have though it was coming out sooner than sept
 
Loved the first one, the second just looks sicker. Can't wait.

I tried to play borderlands but just couldn't get into it, maybe this one will be better

A clap trap is the boxy robot guy with arms and one wheel that's dancing in the video.

Didn't enjoy the first one, felt it was extremely overrated. Never played it co-op, but the gameplay was just stale. They played up the 17 million extremely customizable guns thing, but they all felt the same. If they fix the boring guns thing and make the PC version not suck, then I might check it out.

My problem is they have 7 different types of weapons, but 5 of them are hitscan and might as well all fulfill the same role with a slight modifier. You don't really have to change your play style all that much depending on what weapon you're using. The only real interesting weapons were the Eridian ones they threw in as dlc. Grinding in an FPS isn't as much fun as say Diablo 2 because you actually have to pay attention a little bit more as to what is going on, but in Borderlands' case there wasn't much going on.

For all intensive purposes, this game has more different weapons than Borderlands and it's free and looks like absolute shit (but it's pretty fun). Weapons - Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch Wiki

Actually gonna go pick up the original Borderlands today. Remember playing it once and not thinking it wasn't all that but a lot of people seem to bum it, the reviews are all 8/10+, 4/5+
