Ive been looking around for a good free twitter bot and can't find anything, do you guys know of any?

And if I cant find any im thinking about buying twittersniper..

Well that sounds really good for somebody that knows what there doing!!
but i really dont know crap in ANY languages.. :(
ill hit up some ad brp :D

what i know is that last few payed bots i used are now totaly useless and their developers (official companies distributing them) are even not able to fix them to work again stabil. I guess twitter have done a few tricks LOL...b/w, i am looking for the same...any bot that works?

There aren't any free tools to do this as it's kind of a pita to write up. I've done it and I wouldn't sell my software not only because I couldn't get enough for it, but as soon as I sold or gave it away it would become worthless as too many other tools would use it and it would get shut down.

I see this happening even with the well executed packages like twitsniper.

Is twit snipe different to twitsniper? Because I have actually used twitsniper and it's pretty crap. The only features that you wouldn't find in a free app is of course the auto-add feature and also the mass direct message feature, both of which can easily get your twitter account suspended.

If you're gonna pay might as well get HummingBird, which is the best app for twitter I reckon. It is about 200 bucks though.

dude all the examples on that page i posted come with the complete working source code... i.e. all you have to do is upload it to a host (or host it yourself via xamp) and edit the config file with shit like username/password.

Twit Snipe is the newer version of twitsniper. I have both Hummingbird and Twit Snipe and prefer Twit Snipe. The keyword targeting IMHO is way better. They've released a new version of Hummingbird, that I haven't tried yet so I'm not sure what features are there. The older version auto follow feature only worked by following someone's followers. Good I guess if you're trying to build up a big follower base, bad if you want targeted followers (which is one of the keys to success with twitter). On top of that Sam is one of us and they are totally open to feedback to make their product better.

As an aside, all you guys with bot accounts with XX,XXX followers....are you actually seeing any results? I doubt it. There is so much noise on Twitter and most people use apps like Tweetdeck to filter out that noise, using groups etc.

In other words, if you haven't engaged your followers to rise above the clutter early on, you likely will see very little to no results from this channel.

Another thing, I've heard a lot of people complaining that they get a lot of clicks from Twitter, but a really crappy conversion rate. Often this is because they are going off the bit.ly click metrics. These are not accurate. They are often overstated by as much as 10X depending on the types of followers you have. What you’re seeing are total decodes, as opposed to total click-throughs measured by JavaScript on the page. Decodes can be caused by bots, and by applications, like browser plug-ins, which expand the underlying url without causing a click-through.

Anyways, enough about Twitter...back to work.

Plenty of people doing amazingly well with twitter.......

Personally I just want to get a base going similar to what I have on facebook (which works EXTREMELY WELL for me, but has a 5k limit, and if I could only do something like 10k friends on FB I could get prolly $500 a week.)

Move from friends to a fan page. If you already have people actively responding to you as friends, it shouldn't be too terribly difficult to transition them into being fans as well. You can have unlimited fans. The only difference is you can't direct message (only sends to notifications).

If you want, we can trade a little information. I've been spending a lot of time on Twitter lately and am ramping up FB now. You tell me some stuff about FB, I'll tell you some stuff about Twitter. PM if interested.

Tried it , not overly too much luck.

This is key. You've got to match your content to your followers. You can get extremely high click through rates if you post good link bait and it matches your followers.

So if you are selling flesh lights, you need to follow people talking about fleshlights. Then you need to post shit like "guy dies from using fleshlight" and then you get 20% click through.

After this though, your have to think of your conversion rate as a function of click through not as a function of users. Most of your users won't even see your link. So if you are awesome you may have 20,000 users, get 4000 clicks (max) and only have 40 conversions (.2% of followers). If you shit's not targeted you might get 100 clicks and then it doesn't matter what your conversion is.

Buy some accounts, a host, and twitsniper and play with it. You'll figure out what works, but you've got to have volume and you've got to target.

I use Phoenix Twitter Desktop to follow people. You can follow people with specific keywords and then unfollow using any free tool available online. Its free to download, not sure if thats what you are looking for...
