This actually does help.
What works for me is to just not be focused like a laser 100% of the time. Think of it like a gun in a FPS that overheats, I don't know about you but I can't work like that for too long.
Take a break. Then return to the problem with a fresh mind(ie cool gun). I also smoke a lot, lol.

You need to stop smoking. The damage to the lungs from smoking tobacco inevitably leads to emphysema and death in old age (as well as increased chance of lung cancer). The damage to other tissue (physical because of artery damage) and carcinogenic, including the HEART from smoking is also significant. Please stop smoking. Seeing people smoking tobacco is crazy. It's like choosing to live next to a large factory in a developing country

True; And works wonders. Many times if I intensionally concentrate on something then take a 5-10min 'mind rest', the solution 90% of the time smashes against my face outa nowhere.I really think the subconscious mind gathers all that you learned in the past and works it out. 99% of the time a solution lands right in my lap when im not thinking about it. It always amazes me.
The key is to step away and take time off and DON'T think about it.
