Simple Question: have you looked back and considered going back to Apple?

I've been a loyal iPhone user since 2009. Never tried anything else, partly because I was satisfied with Apple, but also because I was too lazy to make the big move (I was very comfortable with my set of apps and data on iTunes and didn't want to start from scratch with a new device)

However I'm due to change my device this month (currently on a iPhone 4s), and I'm wondering if I should go for an Android... Nobody seems excited with the iPhone 5... I've looked at them and they just feel like a slighly thinner 4s.

I've looked at various tech sites and they all seem to think the Nexus 5, LG 2 and HTC One are the best devices of the year.

For your trouble:

Upto you man, but im sticking with mine. Im creating content right now for a client about develpers of the apps and with my 3 days research developers are creating more applications cause there's more apple users still. The Apple appstore generate 2x more revenue than Andriod this year. So if your a Developer you would develop where the money is right? Apple still has the call at this point but we may never know in the next 6 months.

Either or bud if your not satisfied with it then kick it out. If you just want to try something new then keep that 4s and get a new phone. Choose which you like best after a few tries. If your really into it then get that Android phone, again its all upto you man

I've been using Android since 2010. This year I decided to switch it up and try the iPhone 5. I like the iPhone and the interface is much sleeker and easier to use, but I'm planning to go back to Android for my next phone. The iPhone just doesn't offer any level of customizability and they're too draconian about censoring some of the most useful utility apps, so while it is a nice phone I prefer Android overall.

LG G2 all the way.

Never had an iphone, but I use my gf's all the time.. it seriously seems like a little mini 2007 ipod to me. It's hard for me to believe people actually choose it over the likes of the G2 and Nexus 5. I always just assume that iphone users simply haven't used the right device, and therfore don't yet realize what a total joke of a phone they're using.

So yeah.. I'm biased as fuck and not open to Apple phones at all (love the mac air though!) so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

That said.. if you go Android.. you seriously have to at least see the G2 screen in person before you decide. Playing the demo videos that come on the phone.. it looks unreal. The first time in a while when I've been so blown away with a piece of technology. It's so clear it looks fucking 3d. Literally. And it's the perfect size.. Note 3 is too big.

Just got my Nexus 5 yesterday. Took it to the AT&T store to get a sim card and the guy who works there asked me if he could play around with it. He has a iphone 5. Said my phone is twice as fast and he will be switching to a Nexus 5 shortly.

I love it so far. Only draw-back is battery life.

I went from iphone 3g all the way to 4s before i finally got sick of it and pulled the trigger to android. Now I wish I had done it from the start. As an iphone user android superficially looked cluttered and too much scrolling. It's actually the opposite once you get used to it and get everything customized how you like. iOS seriously lacks in the customization department compared to android. They kind of cattle herd you in there.

Tried android twice. Even ordered a nexus 5 also, from Amazon for 500 bucks (google was taking long). Wanted an Android phone too.. Used it for a couple weeks and just sold it to an Android Nut.

Every happy with 5S .. The fingerprint unlock is too good.. The NSA already has my prints, so I don't care :P

Note 3 is too big.

this. i did all my research, went into a store to check it out, and holy shit, that'd be like holding a dinner plate to my head.

I used to think the Galaxy Note phones were way too big and made fun of them and their users, but all of the note owners that I knew really liked their phones.

I decided to actually try a Note 3 as my newest phone and I like it now too. After using it for about 6 weeks so far, it doesn't seem nearly as huge as it did the first time I saw it.

Note 3 arrives tomorrow if Fedex behaves. The head set and its speech to text function are flawless.

Note 3 or LG G2 are the way to go. Nexus 5 gets a timeout due to its poor battery life. After owning a Nexus 4, a phone without a removable battery is never getting my money again.

I have been a long time iOS user (since the 3G) and when I lost my iPhone two years back, I decided to try a Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

I was and still am very impressed with the build of the phone and especially the larger screen, but I could never get over the feeling that I was using beta software. Everything crashed on the damn phone! Android updates didn't solve the stability problems.

In addition, I found the Android OS incredibly counter intuitive. Many phone features were buried several levels deep in places it took forever to find.

Lastly, the Google Play store sucks. There are far fewer quality games/apps available for Android than iOS. The few quality games that are released often lag iOS my months/years.

I did enjoy the ease of loading media onto Android and the availability of all sorts of hacks.

I switched from the Samsung Galaxy Nexus back to an iPhone 5 and gave the Nexus to my girlfriend. She uses the Nexus as a camera for Facebook and her iPhone for everything else.

I am hoping Apple releases a phone with a larger screen next year. That is about the only feature I envy from the Android stable.

Switched from iphone 4s to Nexus 5 since the day it came out. Can't be more happier with the phone and Android kitkat 4.4.2 latest update.

I went iPhone to Android, then back to iPhone. I like to have different operating systems, nothing about Android or the Galaxy phones was truly enticing enough for me to feel the need to stick with the OS. The only thing that is substantially better about the Galaxy/Android phones is the size of the screen.
