Im considering purchasing some turntables and a mixer from a DJ in the UK but seeing as how I don't want to get scammed I would much rather have someone I know go and check out the item first and then have him ship me the item instead of the original seller whom I do not know.

Is it from EBay? You could also have a courier take the cash and pickup the goods then ship it
