Hi All, I am a complete newbie to the real world of making money on-line.I have been making cash on eBay but now need to do the real thing. This may be a stupid question but anyway what is arbitrage? Is it just a name for the Adsense type of campaigns? I looked in the Treasure Trove thread. It says What is arbitrage but then doesn't tell you lol.

From one nOOb to another...

I haven't been around here long but I lurked long enough to know that this type of question will not get you anywhere with this crowd. Lazy people are not rewarded on this site. Put in some effort and look beyond one thread and you will find golden information on this subject. I mean that in the most helpful way possible...

To get you started Arbitrage or arbi, by a general definition is taking advantage of market imbalances in order to realize a profit. More generally it can be summarized as "buy low and sell high". In this realm it means driving cheap traffic to a page that results in higher returns. How you do this is up to you and with some determination you will find ways that many very successful and brilliant people on this board have done (and continue to do).

Don't look for a handout here, do your homework (even beyond the scope of WickedFire) and you will find that the people here don't suffer fools, but they are damn sure generous with some ridiculously good info. I don't mean to be dickish, but thems the breaks!

ahh right, in a nutshell:

arbitrage is the art/science of buying cheap and selling expensive, using market intelligence and turning it to your advantage. It's an old concept, look up on wikipedia: "Arbitrage is the practice of taking advantage of a price differential between two or more markets: [......] that capitalize upon the imbalance, the profit being the difference between the market prices."

Apply that concept to ppc and your adsense ads. Find the cheap clicks and optimize your pages to attact the more expensive clicks.
