Had a guy from FHM hit me up for an interview on trolls. I obviously fail miserably in my trolling abilities when compared to most of the guys on here, especially including some of the superstars.
Any of you guys interested in answering some questions about trolling for this guy? You can send answers in a PM or just respond. Or just troll me. I'm sure you guys will come up with something interesting...
Do you see yourself as a "troll", despite the negative associations?
What do you put those negative associations down to?
Do you see yourself as part of a wider community of trolls?
When and why did you first start trolling? When you first did it, did you realise that what you were doing was called "trolling"?
Why do you troll? Is it purely for the lulz? Or is there another motivation?
How do you choose who/what to troll? Is it when you come across something that you think would be fun to react to, or are you actively looking for certain "targets"?
What kind of reactions do you get from other internet users for what you do/write?
Have you ever been worried that someone might take so much offence to you that they bring the police/authorities into it?
Is there are a line that shouldn't be crossed? Or does freedom of speech/expression mean that anything goes?
Would you say you've ever crossed the line? Or for that matter, would others say that you had crossed the line?
There are some well-publicised cases in the press about people who have died whose Facebook memorial pages have been trolled, with people saying things like "lol, you died" and "it's hot in hell." Do you think that's fair enough? Or do you think that those people have taken it too far?
And if there's anything I haven't covered that you'd like to talk about, please do!
