Article Sites de-indexed from Google?

I recently created 6 articles around 6 keywords and submitted them to GoArticles. Started doing some SEO with them and one of them was even ranking on the first page. Now they all seem to be de-indexed.

Is this due to my SEO seeming aggressive or what?

You need to give more information. What kind of SEO did you do? If you throw too many links too quickly to a site, you can get sandboxed.

The only thing I was doing was building backlinks, so it had to have been that... How long does it take for a site to start showing up again?

You've been here for a year and you still can't figure out that this is not the way to go about doing this?

Have you actually looked to see if you've been actually sandboxed, as opposed to arse ended?
Chances are you've been bumped by someone that's doing better than you in their SEO efforts.

I signed up about a year ago, but really have only been into IM for about 2 months...

By checking if I've been sandboxed do you mean by typing site: Website Hosting - Mysite.com in Google and see if it shows up?
