So where the fuck is our sun? When it comes to this shit I'm a newb.

After fucking around some more I'm going to guess its almost impossible to figure that out.

... If we had a camera pointed at our sun from within our solar system we wouldn't be able to see shit beyond it.

Unless you thought we had a camera several million light years away looking back at us :D

our sun's about 93 million miles behind you.

edit: to shave a some snark off this -- the panorama was taken from different places around the world at different times, with the night sky facing different areas of our galaxy during each snapshot. while it looks like the milky way is centered from a distance in the panorama, it's just how it looks from here on earth.

awesome pic at any rate.
