Basically I am confused on which phone I should go with and I need some honest opinions from both iPhone and Blackberry users/switchers.

Currently I have a iPhone 3G on ATT (which has horrible service in NY) and have heard nothing but great things about Verizon, in terms of reception. One down-side about blackberries is that I'll be letting go my mobile-me subscription, which syncs my calender and contacts. Not to mention the browser in the blackberry OS is nothing compared to what the iPhone safari delivers.

So yeah, throw me some reinforcements on what path I should go?

iPhone 3GS:
Apple - iPhone - View all the features of the new iPhone 3GS.

Blackberry Tour:
BlackBerry - Tour ? BlackBerry 9630 Smartphones ? RIM Tour

Can you even do this since AT&T uses sim cards and GSM? If you can I would love to know how.

Currently Verizon wireless is a CDMA network so no that's out of the question. It looks like Verizon is going to GSM when they roll out their 4G network which should be soon according to the articles I keep reading.

An iPhone would work on T-Mobile as they are also GSM.

I've had excellent reception and service on my iPhone 3G from upstate to out east on Long Island... do you have a faulty unit? I did at first. I was able to exchange it for a new unit and my reception improved tenfold.

If you have an iphone try taking it to a mac store. They'll run a diagnostics on it to see if its the hardware. My original iphone was a lemon.

Yes, I've exchange my phone like 4x times due to cracks and some other defects. Reception was about the same for all of them.

I just ordered the BB Tour... but I would much rather have an iPhone, but I refuse to use AT&T's POS network.

they're converting to LTE, not GSM, and AT&T is also. They're just backwards compatible with GSM and CDMA.
