Well.. This has been bugging me for the last few days. I've recently completed a software targeted at flstudio users and now i'm lost at how to market it... lol.

The product is at : Molura » FLPXport

I released a free simpler version at http://molura.com/flstudio-tools/flpxtract/ to get some interest going and it had been good
so far.

Any suggestions guys? I'm thinking of starting an affiliate program with e-junkie., but that's where the ideas stop. :)

Let me just say I'm also clueless on how to promote such things :), maybe media buying/banner to your page directly on websites with producer niches such as KVR or Futureproducers.

Or maybe you could hit up some prolific members on forums which have a large FL Studio user base and exchange a free license for a review to get some buzz going. But be careful of forums which are known for having tons of pirates or where piracy is often discussed. FL Studio is one of the most pirated programs on the internet and only a small % of users actually paid for it, so that cuts down the niche even further.

Pretty cool software you got there I can definitely see the uses for the program. I used to produce music very seriously and exclusively used FL Studio. It looks like a good tool to organize shit.

Good luck

it will definitely be difficult as most bedroom producers just steal software.

maybe try to also work in some threads on a bit more professional forums like gearslutz.com (i haven't been on in over a year but it used to be good so it may still be).

There are still a lot of big producers that use FL, can always hit them up on twitter and other places and try to get them to use and talk about it. A lot of producers get psyched as fuck to get to try new software, especially if it will help their workflow.

check out how much banner space is on a lot of those forums as well.

definitely might have to work social and forums to get people talking about it since so many music producer/computer people make free software just to have it.

best of luck and let us know how it comes along!

For the meantime, I'm putting this project on hold until I get a few producers on board man. I guess this is one of those apps you write as an experiment. :)

I'm fairly deep into the daw niche and have a bunch of products with more coming. Hard to crack but it's good to see you're thinking out of the box. There's quite a few FL dedicated forums/even FL has their own you might want to scope out. Looks like a useful tool just gotta test the markets on mass a lil', give it out free for a few months just to prove there is a demand for it first.

If you have experience developing actual daw software/vst's etc. reach out pls. I'm always looking for cool new audio aps.
