Well thats simple. Go the black hat route if you're that hard up for short term cash flow. Of course you'll run the risk of getting caught since you'll be screwing over the networks and you'll need to have no sense of conscience since you'll be screwing innocent people of their money. But thats what black hat is...

You know....the TRULY sad thing is....I've been in this game for about 2 weeks and as a complete....and I mean COMPLETE fucking newb, I know this isn't true.

Clown Shoes.....

White Hat - when you make more money for Google than for you
Black Hat - where you keep much more than you give Google
Grey Hat - when you give them enough that they think they got most of it
Brown Hat - when you just have your head so far up your ass that money isn't even an issue

Yeah, I have a feeling Rachid was just a temporary import from DP.

Hahaha very very true.

Seeing as we're already so off topic, I thought this would be a great time to bring up something that's been on my mind:

Where did the various colour hats come from?

I know that black and white hats get mentioned in Bradbury's Something Wicked this Way Comes when he's talking about the good or evil that men do (or don't do) to become corrupted enough to join the dark carnival... But I'm certain there must be earlier origins than that.
Witchcraft maybe? Good witches have whiter, less pointy hats, don't they? (the fairytale kind that get drowned by Catholics... not wiccans)

(How's that for a lion's mane? :D)

The hats came into existance so good lil SEOs could explain to their clients why they're not ranking #1.

Green Hat - Your wife has ran off with another man (Its a chinese saying)

white hat/black hat is from the old western films where the good guys always wore white hats and the villains wore black. i think it was used originally to describe hackers, then seos.
