Avoiding the FTC

How about not spending all of the money you make? This will ensure you have the funds to pay for your taxes like a good little bitch!

The FTC and AGs only go after people they get a SHITLOAD of complaints about. They're not going to go after one little affiliate for possibly using "deceptive advertising" practices unless the affiliate has a huge popular site that is pissing off a lot of people. I think the OP was a hypothetical question, or someone played a prank on the OP's friend.

Were you that tool who did the video unwrapping and pretended it just showed up at the door? He was like oh yay my tea bags are here I'm so ready to lose weight. Wait that was wu-yi tea, fuck. Whatever.

No, the video i did was of ME unwrapping from an elegant robe and exposing my nude body after losing 44lbs in 7 days.

What dsiomtw is saying is absolutely correct. I've had a number of clients whacked by the FTC for big bucks, but these were guys making huge money. My smaller clients make more bold claims, but they never get in trouble since they fly under the radar. While no one wants to pay a multi million dollar fine, its somewhat looked at as a cost of doing business.

I completely disagree what the FTC said was wrong about my clients, but its good that they nailed Enzyte. Their owner was doing a bunch of things with his customers credit cards, which is a lot worse than making false advertising statements.

Also, no one is immune from the FTC these days. They have been known to go after the fulfillment centers, call centers, ad agencies, just about anyone involved in a campaign that they deem is illegal.

if you're talking about the guy that receives the wu yi tea at his door and then drinks it and acts like he's choking to death, then says he just kidding...??

i know him, he really does drink wu yi and his before and after photos were actually of him... no kidding.

Lol, sounds like you're stuck in pitch-mode. I had a case of that once.

I think everyone is going to probably run it till they make an example of someone... I think they'll probably go with the actual merchants of products FIRST. Big players are what they're interested in more than some kid making 10k a day.

I bet extenze makes that in minutes... and so after thinking about it for a while... I'm really not too worried.

Just like what was said before: Private / Fake DN info ftw.
Not true.

The FTC has gone after $500/month earning mlm distributors & hit them with $10K fines, so I'm sure $10K a day simply means a bigger fine for them to hit you with. They've hit 6 figure earning internet marketers with huge fines and wiped them out.

Also, the FTC has the power of whatever government agency they need to go after people, including the FBI so Private/Fake info won't keep you from them especially if you are in the U.S.

I'm not saying be worried, but don't assume they don't go after small players because they have done it in the past.

That's kinda gay.
