Greetings Wickedfire. It has been a while! Some of you guys that have been around a while may remember me. I didn't sell you out, i have been busy pursuing my web development skills / career as i always said i would when you were all telling me to dive in to PPC!!

Anyway, i am pleased to report that i am now a fully self employed, self sufficient, fully fledged web developer! I quit my job two months ago and so far (touch wood) i am earning a living.

So... stage one of my evil plan is complete! I have done what i wanted, i know what i am doing now and i can handle all my own development work and start building my empire. I never wanted to work for other people, i worked to get the skills.

On to stage two! If you will have me back i am ready to try anything now in order to start making some real money for myself. I was recently 'gifted' my first adsense site from a friend of mine from here (you know who you are if you see this, i owe you one! ) in return for (non-sexual) favours so i am getting my first taste of online monies :D This was really a turning point and and a big motivation boost so i want to dive in to stage two now and start earning some bank!

I know the golden rule around here is give it a shot so i am not asking if i should try it... I want to get in to PPC and i will... I just have this nagging feeling that i am gonna get screwed over! I mean.. all these networks and competitors.. the potential for people to not play fair is big, you must agree?? So... What can i do to really protect myself as much as possible from the scam artists out there?? I mean.. just go with the big name networks or...? Are there ways to do this where you have more control over the traffic as opposed to just sending it on? My biggest fear is that i will be generating sales for people and not getting my cut.

Any help appreciated!!

Thanks and i hope to re-join the ranks and start contributing again now i have a bit more free time.

TL;DR: Made it to the stage of 'self employed web developer' - more free time now. Giving PPC a shot but worried about getting ripped off by networks etc... Looking for the safest path!

Peace offering:
