On the firing line
Alrighty guys, got a question for y'all. I've never dealt with this, so when a client came to me with it, I honestly wasn't sure what to tell them.

They were running a product on Google before, and ended up getting banned.

Figuring out how to get a new Adwords account was easy, but now, they're stuck on the ad creation portion. They're concern is submitting to the old site and being re-banned. So, how should they proceed? New URL with duplicate content? Redirect with an affiliate type link to old URL? Or something different?

In other words:

What exactly needs to be done to get up and running again without connecting their new account to the old account?

Me too. I have a new account, but what happens when I send traffic to the same affiliate URL's that were in the banned account?

add a string parameter at the end (?id=1234) of the URL, and since Google doesnt want to risk blacklisting a domain because another affiliate did something wrong besides the new advertiser, usually lets it pass as long as the content on the domain itself isn't the reason for the ban.

Was thinking this, but didn't have anything to back it up and wasn't willing to pass along inaccurate information. Any chance you have a source to back this up? I suspect you're correct, just want to be able to go to the client with "This is how you do it, and here are my sources if you don't believe me"

Thanks!
