having a little bit of trouble deciding on the best strategy..I have my main keyword, and a list of 17 potential sub-keywords.

when trying to rank for those sub=kws, is it best to try and rank a page on my main site for that kw, or should I build a separate smaller site there and have it linking to main site?

I guess probably a combo of both, but at first, what takes priority?

thx for the reply

i would still have those pages on my site, but would also have an exact match domain in most of the sub-kws.

is this not a valid model? especially for the sub-kws that have the higher search numbers.

Its really going to depend on what your strategy is and also what niche you target.

It might be best to just make the one site (wordpress blog) and then build a few pages around those keyphrases. Then just do a bunch of backlinks to them by buying services here or fiverr.

Having a separate site for every keyword becomes expensive and inefficient in general. It may be worth a try though, I'm not so sure.

Much depends on the specifics. We have multiple sites, but each one is centered around ranking multiple keywords that are similar or connected in theme.

With multiple keywords on one site, your site has more depth, more content quality, and can be more rewarding to the viewer. If you keep them on-site, your bounce rate is better, and you have more opportunity to pre-sell & monetize etc.

One keyword per site could result in a "thin" low-quality domain, unless I misunderstand your method..

You mostly understand it, only my site's depth or quality of content wouldn't vary depending on either way. The content will be there, just thought there might be benefits in having smaller emd sites to rank for some sub kws.

thx.

Target only 1 keyword and page at a time when you are building backlinks unless you can add a second link on the page (as you can in most article directories). As long as the keywords are all related to the same market the best thing to do with the other keywords is to make a separate page targeting each one. Each page should have a sidebar with links to the other pages on it and each link should use the targeted keyword for that page as anchor text.

Conventional approach to this is to build around a big site and optimize for smaller long tail keywords. But you can obviously expand with emd mini sites to rank for sub kw's if you are confident that there is no issue with depth, quality, backlinks and cost.

Since all the KW relate, keep them on one site & make the sub-KWs separate pages on the site. Overall it'll make your site look more authoritative & legit by having that much related content. Then build backlinks to each page to rank each keyword as well as ranking your site overall.

This. Your main keyword should be what you target on the homepage. All subsequent keywords should be separate pages within the overall website. Build links to each page using each individual keyword as the anchor. Make sure your on-site is flawless before you even start link building.

Use long tail keywords..Like:-

Cheap Seo Services
Affordable Seo Servcies

if you target these keywords then This Effect also to seo services.

I think Your Points Should Clear now.

Thanks.
