been offered $11 500 for a domain i own. need advice

DO NOT... Deal with paypal when selling websites/domains. I've sold about $80,000 worth of properties (4 domains/sites) in the past 12 months. THe last one, I sold for $15k. When I got the paypal $$; I transferred the domain - paypal held $$. I got pissed, and sent it back to the seller (he now has my domain + $$). Thankfully, the guy was legit and wired me the $ in 7 days. But yeah, paypals a bitch so don't use them for selling sites imo...

I've been thinking about building a site that would handle transactions like this (ensuring domains are fully transferred over before releasing the money). I wouldn't have a problem coding the site.

My only concern is about the feasibility. I wouldn't have a problem marketing the site. The only issue I would have is whether users would trust using it. The site would be secure and everything, it's just I know some people are very skeptical about sites they trust. And is Escrow already basically doing this?

What are your guys thoughts?

^ I wouldn't trust any meaningful amount of money to a fresh startup like that, especially when its a one man operation. I am fairly certain you will not get any customers unless you invest HEAVILY into marketing it.

Just curious here, were you advertising those properties you sold anywhere? I know of flippa but just curious if there is a better network for them that isn't about selling $10 domains with no content / links for $300.
