From an affiliates point of view they all have their negatives.

HitPath = Built in scrubber.
DirectTrack = Seems to go down more than others.
LinkTrust = No huge problems but the interface isn't the nicest.
HasOffers = Apparently has pixel firing problems? Not sure if true.

One feature that I would love to see added to HitPath, LinkTrust, and HasOffers is payment history reporting.

That built in scrubber is a mailing feature from the original release. It's as simple as asking Mark whoever your hitpath rep is to "remove it".

So then Hitpath aint so bad.

I could also say that since switching to Hitpath, it's helped produce over 30 million dollars in revenue so if heavy revenue is up your alley, this software can handle it. AND you can have anything removed that you request just like we did. Simple.

Hitpath is a great platform. I've speaking to alot of affiliates that stay away from networks that use DT.

fwiw - most of the networks that rely on dt typically don't pay dt the added cost to get set up with dedicated servers that dt offers. so, dt lumps those networks onto the same shared servers. when (...not if...) dt has a glitch, every dt-powered network gets affected; however, the larger ntwks that pay for dt's dedicated servers aren't affected by dt's glitches&hiccups nearly as badly or for as long as the networks that share their hosting.

Ditto. I like the way you guys customized your site, too, good stuff.

I don't disagree with your second paragraph, but signing up a HasOffers account doesn't mean you have opened a network and I don't think that HasOffers existing makes starting an affiliate network cheap and easy. Your tracking platform is like a toolbox to a construction worker (or something like that); it is part of the operation, but it isn't the business plan, the contacts and relationships, the industry knowledge, etc. Can HasOffers help people fake those things?
Sorry, missed this reply first time around.

From their pricing page on the $0/month plan: Our Free Edition is perfect for low-volume networks that require limited functionality.

HasOffers sells itself as a network solution. Sure, some people might use it to do their own tracking (god knows why they wouldn't use T202), but HasOffers sells itself as a network platform and that's what it's mainly being used for.

I'm not saying HasOffers is a piece of garbage. I'm saying they're making it too easy for the wrong kind of people to own a network. If they dropped the two lowest price points, you'd never hear a word out of me about them.

Regarding your point about needing a plan, relationships, etc. to start a network - that's what the right kind of people need to start a network and these people will have the cash to pay for a licence. The wrong kind of people need none of that. They get the free version of HasOffers, rebroker a bunch of campaigns from other bottom-feeder networks, and then make an announcement on DigitalPoint. These people know nothing about affiliate screening or fraud detection and let anyone in and let anything go. This leads to a piles of crap leads being fed up the chain to unsuspecting merchants, and to the few legimiate affiliates who might be in the network losing their cash when the network fails.

The best tracking software anyone can ever use is the one that best suites your particular business needs, some people only need analytics, others will need more comprehensive API's to extract keywords, use custom ids, ect...

For me personally I use all custom built tracking solutions that would be absolutely useless for anyone else to use but are more valuable then gold for me using them in my systems.

T202 is on the right path but they still fall short of ways to interact with systems outside the realm of simple, PPC to landing page to affiliate offer systems.

I fuckin LOL out loud when any network asks me to run traffic with them then provide me with a HasOffers URL. This is mainly due to the fact that it is a cheap/inexpensive platform. It basically tells me that this company is actively seeking ways to SAVE MONEY in areas that it should be spending a lot in (accurate, updated, and reliable affiliate interface). HitPath and LinkTrust are not that expensive for any company that wants to maintain a longer presence in this industry. I mean shit, some advertisers don't even have a tracking software and work off of the networks, i'd rather do that anyday then work with HasOffers.

We used hitpath, we love it, it's sexy and rep's our great. It gets the job done, and doesn't provide the affiliate with a bunch of nonsense content, reports, and shit to confuse them.

custom is the best way to go but can be expensive.... what about iDevAffiliate??? it handles multiple sites, 100 tiers, banners, email support for communicating with your affiliates and even multiple payment methods... Would that not cut the mustard for $300???

am i missing something here?

whats wrong with p202?
