I have been creating and selling software in the SEO and IM space since 2011 and have done alright for myself but the one area that I have never been able to break into is getting some great affiliates to do the bulk of marketing for me.

For every launch I have had a bunch of different promo materials in the form of banners with a variety of layouts, designs and colour schemes, each in a variety of sizes. I have also had promo content written that can be used in article marketing and/or email blasts.

I have had other things created to help promote the product as well.

I have also been on a bunch of different networks over the years hoping that it would help to find a few good affiliates, ultimately I have always ended up doing my own promo.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to attract the good affiliates as I am clearly missing something.

Thanks in advance guys.

Part of getting others to promote those products for you is that you also need to promote some of their products. This way you have a starting point of a relationship with them.

Think about who your exact target market is. Find out who they're already working with and present those people your affiliate marketing program that can help them generate extra revenue.

I've used Popcash before with a few offers and I didn't receive any conversions. I'm not sure if they're selling cheap traffic or what, but there are so many other sites that offer quality traffic, so switching to another source was no big deal for me.

There are a variety of good sources including bing ppc, yahoo, exoclicks, buzzcity. Each of those sources provides high quality traffic at affordable costs. With bing ppc, you can promote any offer and only pay a couple cents per click.

Do you mean you had bad experience with popcash when trying to hookup with affiliates ?

Yeah , I had a landing page that was recruiting affiliates and i sent traffic to them via various sources but that page failed with no conversions with popcash but did well with other source of traffic , so either it can be due to the page or popcash doesn't work well for recruiting affiliates , but the other traffic sources do work imo .

Finding affiliates is easy, getting them to run your offers should be easy, getting quality traffic to your products is the toughest part. The industry is so saturated at this point with shitty traffic but there are still a lot of great affiliates out there willing to promote a great offer or product delivering creativity and quality traffic. If you have a great offer trust me, we can track them down!

My advice is to not rely solely on promoting a lander to recruit affiliates, go out and do some active recruiting.

Use keywords in the LinkedIn search bar [if you have LinkedIn Premium you can save search results and receive alerts when new people match your search criteria], post out helpful information on Facebook & Twitter linking back to your site, look at peoples friends lists, use spy tools, host local events for IMs, I mean the list could go on and on describing how to find great affiliates. Its trial and error man, most importantly you have to be trustworthy now days and stick by your word. Just like anything else you will have to filter through all kinds of shit to find serious affiliates. To find affiliates you need to simply think as an affiliate, thats were having marketing experience comes into play.

I would also look into getting feedback from the networks and publishers on your offer. Maybe it is something with your landers or product preventing them from wanting to promote them. Just ask questions!

I hope this helped you and if you want more information on finding affiliates I am always glad to help fellow IM's out. Its all about continuously growing, making money and helping others for me!

I've ran quite a few offers on JVZoo/WarriorPlus and have done at least $100k with products on each platform.

I found the easiest ways to get guys to push my offers is to ride on their coattails a little by promoting their offers with a little bit of volume.

You need to optimise your offer conversion process first, and get it super tight.. track everything in your sales funnel, find drop off points, get upsells that are attractive, email follow ups, and really make the whole thing work..

Only then should you look to recruit affiliates. If they test your offer and converts shit, they ain't going to spend money, or give you their traffic, to sell it.

Fancy promo materials mean fuck all if the offer is tough to convert.
