Hi,
I have just started an affiliate program for my software application and was wondering what the best move would be next for me to get affiliate marketers coming to promote my product?

Thanks,

Grant

Go to all of the Affiliate sites you want promoting you and call them/email them.

Most of them have links directly on their home pages for advertisers.

Hi Grant,

There are a few ways to attract affiliates. Here's one way...

Once you have your sales funnel (sales letter, autoresponder sequence, etc.) built, spend some cash at the PPC engines to send traffic to your site. Keep tweaking your funnel until you're achieving an attractive, consistent conversion ratio.

Once you have an attractive conversion ratio, approach affiliates. Establish a presence on forums that attract high-volume affiliates. Subtly let others know about your high conversion ratio. A lot of affiliates will be open to sending traffic to your site if your site converts.

But, before you approach affiliates, you should make sure your sales funnel maximizes conversions and minimizes refunds. Otherwise, affiliates will spread the word that your funnel stinks (even if you fix it later), killing your chances to build momentum in the affiliate community.

There are a lot of ways to attract affiliates (getting exposure on ClickBank, doing launches, etc.).

Hope that gives you an idea or two.

Trademark: I am not doing a sales letter and the product is already pretty established. All of the sales coming in currently are by organic traffic and a few forum posts because the product has little to no competition it has a good conversion rate. It also offers a free demo which can be promoted by affiliates and if the user downloads the demo and eventually buys they get credit for the sale, which I find nice. I don't feel that PPC would be an effective strategy and would be a waste of money for my product, but it couldn't hurt to try.

What is a good way to get exposure on Clickbank?

You can submit your software to download.com and they will advertise it for you....not sure how it works though.

Hey grant, just wanted to say that your site has a very attractive layout. My only recommendation is hawking that demo version a bit more. You might be getting some bounces from people who don't pay much attention and think they are going to have to spend money right then.
