Biggest newb mistakes...

Actually... I was asking the question because the fact that I am a newb, I would like to hear other peoples mistakes so that I don't make the same ones. This wasn't meant to be a "fun" thread. Get lost.

Go introduce yourself in the affiliate marketing section.
Be sure to use the boobs icon.

Stupid fuck.

Errr.. you get a 4/10 for cleverness on that one buddy. Since you have 674 more posts than me I guess I should stop answering back to you... pfff... Anyways, stop jacking my thread... can I get some quality posts in here?

Dont buy into E-Books. Dont fall for every "get rich quick" scheme. Don't pay for shit unless you can't get it free and you are sure you should have it. In this business, there are things you have to buy, or need to buy to save you a lot of time and effort. If you can shave hours off of what you are doing with a software, then it may be a good idea. Usually at least get a cracked copy or a demo first so you know what you are getting. If you like it, it really helps you out, then buy it. Don't be a cheap bastard and cop everything off warez. When you need it most, the cracked version wont work anymore for whatever reason. I am okay with using cracked copies for a "trial" purpose because some of the software is expensive. But if it works out, then buy it in the end.

Don't just think you can create 1 wordpress blog and get rich. Most of us have more projects going on than we can count. Keep a notebook for recording what you do along the way. That way if you find something works, you can repeat it.

Just dabble into everything. You will find some things work for you, and others you cant get to work for the life of you. Take the ones that work, record them, and repeat them, while trying to find something else in the background.

What will hurt you the most is buying the shitty ebooks, shitty systems that will "make you rich", and buying outrageous software. So do your homework first before you buy anything. You can ask here about "product x" and if anyone has tried it or if its a scam or what not. But first get your posts up, ask a smarter more targeted question, and apalogize to "stack paper" for being a newbie.

You might as well had asked how do you make monies online. Here at wickedfire, you will get flamed all to hell if you ask questions like that. If you have something like that, keep it in the newbie section. The main sections are for more specific topics so us more advanced marketers dont feel like a help desk. Read around here, start trying some things out on your own. When you get stuck, then is the time to post about that specific thing.

Anyways, I gotta go greet a new signup.

Thanks for a constructive answer, as that's all I was looking to get in this thread.

As far as stack paper, I know how the whole forum " the more posts the bigger dick you have" thing goes... but no hard feelings, I wouldn't want to get banned in here over some bullshit. I come from a different background than most of the people in this forum, I know that, I just was brought up to take no shit from people and get your respect. Whatever, it's the internet... so my bad if I hurt any feelings, I'm not tryin to make a bad name for myself here. I'm actually a laid back dude I don't really get down with the whole net-beefing thing.

Anyways... keep them posts comin!

Not using enough lube

LMAO, anyways, I think the flaming is a hazing that takes place on newbies, but they don't take kindly to "how can i make money" type questions. I tend not to flame and cause beef wars, its a waste of time as nothing will come out of it except losing time you cant gain back.

I do find it funny to read some of the flame wars. Thats why I love WF, you get a good laugh at some of the witty comments and name calling people come up with.

Post count aside, my dick is bigger than yours.
No hard feelings.

You're still an idiot.

Instead of having people list their mistakes, maybe you should go make some of your own so you actually learn something. WF has a lot of information, but just reading gets you nowhere. You have a lot more fucking up to do. Now go redeem yourself for being a stupid prick and post some tits.

Give the guy a break, every one started out somewhere, and heck if I had have known not to buy into some of the shit back in the day I would be a lot richer for it. But hey there are plenty of threads in WF that might answer your question about what to avoid. Use the search function, try here for a start.

That's the biggest gripe peeps have here is when a) there is already a thread for it b) you ask how to make money c) your selling something

Shu is right, dont buy anything unless you need it. Most of the shit being released is available online for free. Believe me it is.

If there is anything you really are after and cant find yourself pm me i might have it or can get it. (that's you kid not every fkn person who reads this).

Peace out.

A willingness to keep reading and learning from others is imperative when you're first starting out, and continues to be useful even when you're experienced. No matter how ignorant you are, you can be helped if you keep trying. (This has worked for me.)

Being a hotshot and a blowhard will get you run off WF. True masters of the game keep quiet about their success and wealth, so if you get the urge to strut - please just shut up you little dick and go away.

Don't attempt this without some knowledge of coding. If you do, you'll be sorry. It happened to me, and it's taking me months to catch up.

Tip to all of WF: Even a newb is somebody we all can learn from because newbs bring a fresh perspective and may impart info we hadn't heard before.

You absolutely have to get out there and try things out to find what works for you. Reading is a great way to find out what should work in theory, but in practice it's a whole new ball game. Just because something works for one affiliate doesn't mean it will work for you. Take the advice and then tweak it to make your own strategies.

Also, I agree with BlueYonder, you really should know at least some basic HTML & PHP, or else this is going to be difficult. I would recommend getting a hosting account with someone like Hostgator that allows unlimited addon domains, then install Wordpress on your domain. You can build decent landing pages in no time with Wordpress, but you will still want to know the HTML & PHP to tweak your plugins and themes to your liking.

I would also highly recommend going through a training program, I personally like PPC Coach and Black Ink Project. These aren't free, but they are worth many times their cost in time saved and help getting your questions answered. You won't get flamed to death for asking newb questions in PPC Coach's forums, and the tools that he has in there are quite good as well.

Subscribe to a bunch of blogs, like the ones listed in the WF Treasure Trove. Just get a gmail account and use Google Reader, or whatever RSS reader you prefer. There is more knowledge and advice in those free blogs and their archives than you will ever find in some crappy eBook.

And finally, stay away from the Warrior Forum. That place sucks.
