Why wouldn't I just create niche blogs with blogspot if it's free and not buy hosting? I can push adsense on all of these blogs really easy.

Never trust your money sites to a free provider without some sort of backup plan. If blogspot ever decides to shut down, then there goes all your sites. At the very least, you should use your own domains and point them to the blogspot blogs. Then you could always point them to another server, should you ever lose control of the blogspot sites.

Because that is welfare mentality, not business mentality.

Don't let someone else be in control of your business just because they offer something free.

You can use sites like blogspot to help build links to your own domains. That way you would get the best of both worlds.

Yeah the first thing people say when you mention blogspot is that it's not good long term.

I say... very little in this business is. And at the same time I watch people using blogspot URLs to rank for great keywords (search make money online in Google).

As long as it's not the core of your business I see no problem using it to make bank.

Yep, that's what 20k+ links get you. It's actually easier to rank something on blogspot because you leech some authority from the TLD (hence blogspot occasionally appearing in the 'buy viagra' serps), the issue is what little control you have when you are ranking.

For things like acai blogspot is fine, but if you were to target a general niche like 'weight loss' then you will want your own domain.

blog spot vs domain name

my 2 cents.

blogspot
- can give you some ranking juice to get a site started. I know one seo firm thats a big fan of this strategy.
- if your just looking to post once a week to try several aff niches. then go with blogspot to get your feet wet.

Domain
- this helps long term if your going to really stick to building a brand.
