I've recently written a library on the .net platform that allows someone to push multimedia objects out to mobile phones.
If you live in a busy area, and have a bluetooth dongle that can reach up to 100 meters+, then you can reach hundreds of people instantly with an offline bluetooth marketing blitz!
People will TALK to others about this wonderful unique experience, and inadvertedly promote your product/service to colleagues, friends and family.
This thing never sleeps, the code is managed (no crashes/leaks), you can queue any kind of file to it.
I guess the concept is spam, but you can register a user's interest via opt-out, so at least it's not annoying.
Big companies are using this at busy train/tube stations throughout london, and is to be considered only as another part of your offline marketing strategy.
